Greatech Sensoco Rural IoT Wireless Gateway Testing with Drones

Mobile observation & inspection with drone technology

GREATECH and Gdańsk University of Technology have worked closely together to test and optimise a wide range of our IoT sensors and gateways (made in Germany). The measurements were tested, using professional drone technology and trained drone pilots in rural, densely forested areas in Eastern Europe. The results are improving the international cooperation, existing and new products in the field of Internet of Things and Industrial Internet of Things.

Offshore Metrology Monitoring

Redundant transmission of scientific measurement data via Sensoco Swarm Gateways

Physical oceanography is a branch of oceanography that focuses on studying the physical properties and processes of the oceans. Its core tasks involve understanding the dynamics of ocean currents, waves, tides, and the interaction between the oceans and the atmosphere.

Physical oceanography and metrology play crucial roles in advancing scientific knowledge, understanding natural processes, and providing accurate and reliable measurements essential for a wide range of applications.

To ensure the constant, regular transmission of precise measurement data, the Physical Oceanography and Metrology Section uses Sensoco Swarm Gateways, which transport the data via narrowband transmission over Swarm nano-satellites.

Protecting endangered species with IoT technology

GREATECH and THGA Bochum partnered up to protect endangered species in wildlife parks. The expert for wireless systems (sensors and IoT) manufactures and provides reliable hardware to monitor animal enclosures, aquariums and terrariums. Professors, students, engineers and product developers are joining forces to protect and preserve precious wildlife.
